"Donovann..."

"Donovann! Don't close your eyes... wake up.."

"Wake up!"

--Donovann woke from his dream with a few blinks of his silver eyes and a yawn, tongue flicking his canines a bit before he looked out of the window of his car. Opening the door to his black Bugatti he stepped out into the comfortable night air, moving his fingers through his silver white hair and moving his head side to side, three loud crackles from his joints resounding each time he tilted it. He reached into the car pulling a bag of half eaten Chinese out of the seat, dug around in it, and pulled out a fortune cookie before tossing the bag back in and shutting the door.

"I don't feel lucky today.. but when has lady luck ever cared about my bloody feelings.." He thought this aloud as he cracked open the cookie and reading the fortune "today is your lucky day." He tossed the tiny paper and scarfed down the cookie looking up to see his currently desired destination. ...who the fuck lives in this big ass house... obnoxious. Vann thought to himself. He began to walk.. stopped, turning to his car. He cringed and sighed unable to part with his small luxury just yet, and upon getting back inside he sped off down the long strip toward the front door....

The low quiet rumble of his turbo engine stopped as he parked off to the side a little ways. With his car stationed in a more obscure spot, as well as more convenient for him, he walked to the front doors, pocketing his gloved hands in the pockets of his black jeans. There was nothing signaling his quiet advance but the chime of the chains looped on each hip as he approached the threshold, smirking at the lion Statues he passed slowing down to pass a hand over one's carefully sculpted head. He Came to a stop at the doors, and after taking a breath, and dusting off his tight black racing jacket, he reached a hand up to the door to knock, completely unaware of what might be inside The Acontinum Estate..--

The door was opened by a tall, gaunt human in a dark business suit and shades. His neatly groomed black hair pulled back into a tight pony-tail. He raised an eyebrow and gave the vampire a quick once over before touching his hand to his ear. The murmered static broke with a clear, deep voice. Glancing back to Vann the human stepped aside and gestured him inside. Closing the door behind him he gestured for the vitae to follow. Leading him through the large set of double doors and into the reception area which was set out comfortably with a trio of leather, high backed chairs. Two sat side by side, the symbols of the Acontinum and the Ascended mounting the top. The third seat faced these seats staring across a stylish walnut coffee-table. " Have a seat, somone will be right up." and with that the human left the room and closed the doors behind him.

Dasani's pale gaze flicked over the reports concerning the night before. His gaze skimming the hand-writing and taking in the various details including information about the bomb and suggested trade-marking used in its construction, components and assembly. He noted the names of the security teams involved and made a quick note to have a word with them when he found the time. The small radio sat looking rather out of place on the desk amoung the old-fashioned decor of his office. Its static breaking the silence of the room. " We have a visitor." Jericho reported and he could hear the door being opened over the radio. Jerhico's status light went green and Dasani lifted the radio to his lips. " Let him make himself at home. We'll be down shortly." Placing the radio down he found Dravens link in his mind. Pulsing a small thought across their bond. " Darling, we have company." Standing from behind the desk he quickly pulled on his coat and sorted his collar. Buttoning it up properly before lifting his newly made cane. The silver cobra head topping it was obscured by his gray hand. The vampires corpse-like complextion and dark veins like tattoo'd lines under the skin marked him as the vitae of the Acontinum line. With a nod of satisfaction at his appearnce he nodded before setting off to meet the guest.

Before pushing open the doors to the reception he quickly pulled on his black, leather gloves to ensure a safe handshake should the situation require it before striding into the room through the interior entrance. His cane clicking softly as he walked. " Vann, welcome to my home. This is a rare surprise, to what do I owe the pleasure?" The grey vitae looked over the Leucetius much as the human had moments before shortly before offering a freindly smile. " Draven will be along shortly. Would you like somthing to drink? I think we had scotch around here somwhere."

Draven wore a simple yet elegant black dress. One that hugged her slender frame, but managed to be classy at the same time. She had recieved Dasani's mental announcement that they had company, and she knew exactly who it was. Donovann Fortae the supposed only Childe that Radraven had even Transformed. Once considered dead. There wasn't much that didn't happen in Vampire society that she didn't know about. It was her job to know these things.

Leaving her hair down, it brushed passed her lower back, nearly reaching to the backs of her knees. Exotic neon green eyes were set alluringly in a face that was considered astoundingly beautiful even by Vampire standards. Brushing her fingertips over the mirror, Draven left the bedroom. Her foot falls were silent, inaudible as she entered the room where they waited. Silently she watched with a sense of pride towards her husband. Smiling to herself, she finally spoke.

"Gentlemen."

As this grey Vitae entered, dignity and nobility in every step of his frame, Vann rose up from his seat and brushing away a few strands of his bushy white locks. he'd never met Dasani in person, yet new of him well. Word does get around, especially to his inclined ears.

"Nothing but a friendly visit. I just arrived in Sanguine a while ago.."He said, as he walked over to Dasani in a casual manner, never moving his eyes from the Vitae's as he spoke. A show of respect. He held out his right hand, which was wrapped in a unique red glove, perhaps also for protection, and shook Dasani's Hand. "Scotch would do nicely. Thank you." He said, offering up a smirk.

He turned his head arching a brow, just as Draven walked in. Lucky man... he thought to himself as he nodded politely. "Hello..."

" I fear your freindly visit comes at less freindly times, my freind." Dasani had of course never met the vitae although as always Dante's reports were impeccable and almost magical in their ability to find out exactly who was in the city at the time. Despite her inauidble footfall he sensed her the moment she entered the room. Like a pleasent chill up his spine that came with the delicous scent he'd be enjoying off his shirt all day. He smiled at Draven as if seeing her once more for the first time. His newly wed wife was beautiful, nay striking to behold. Even when dressed so simply.

Hooking the cane on his arm the vitae wandered over to the oak cabinet and pulled it open. Producing three crystal glasses he placed them on the ledge and uncorcked the bottle of recently opened whiskey. Its heady scent caught him at once tingling his nose before he filled the glasses and replaced the bottle. Carrying the trio over he placed one on the coffee table while handing another across to Draven. His hand brushing her's as she took it causing their eyes to meet breifly. Allowing himself to sink into the seat with the Acontinum symbol etched on it he sipped from the glass and enjoyed the surprsingly firey taste. The black lable whisky had a fine process of storing their drink in wooden creates and placing them in the sea for months or even years to let the casual sway of the tide mature the alchole. " Fine stuff.." He murmed before folding his legs neatly, his part as host played for now. Draven would no doubt want a word with the new arrival.

Draven took the glass that Dasani offered. When his hand brushed hers, it brought a smile to her lips and caused her eyes to drift upwards, catching her husbands. It had been like this between them for thousands of years only being momentarily pushed aside by his brushes with Death. When he took his seat in the chair etched with the symbol of the Acontinum Bloodline, she frowned slightly at hers. She was no longer Ascended. She was all of the Bloodlines, even Donovann's. Tilting her head faintly, a ripple of Magick cut through the air and the symbol mutated, the lines weaving and realigning to form a new symbol.

Satisfied, she called her Magick back to her, and gracefully sat down, crossing her legs in a fluid motion. "Welcome to our home, Donovann Fortae, and our City." Her voice floated like silk, something that one could wrap around themself on a lonely night. "It has been brought to my knowledge that you know our daughter Radraven and that she was the one who Transformed you." She rose a finger slightly to perhaps cut off any protest he may have. "She confides quite a bit in her father and I and although she heard rumors that you were dead, she asked us to search for you."

Vann took a seat in one of the lush chairs provided, after taking his drink. He took a sip from it and closed his eyes briefly to savor it, only looking back to his hosts after the pleasantly burning alcohol passed his throat.

"Thanks for the Hospitality.." He replied to her. His calm features would fall lightly into an expression of very slight dissatisfaction as they had spoke of his rumored death, and the woman he let change his life. "Sorry I made it a bit difficult for you.. I had to... fabricate my death somewhat.. and moved around from place to place." He would indeed, have rather remained a ghost of the past, but it proved to be a hopeless venture in the end. he leaned his elbow on the fine wood of the table, chin resting on the red fist.

"There is no need to thank me, Mr. Fortae." Draven replied, setting her untouched glass on the black glass table that sat between her and her husband. "It is my job to take care of those that are in my City, even if they are Vampire or not." One had to be an expert at reading people in order to catch his slight expression of dissatisfaction, but she caught it.

"That is quite understandable. We have all had to do similiar things at one point in our lives, but there is something I want you to understand. What happened the night you were Transformed was not your fault, nor my daughters. No one would know the outcome of such a transisition."

Draven let her neon gaze lock with his. "It has been a long time, but you still care about her." She made it a statement rather than a question. "It's a mothers intuition to know these things." She knew nothing of this man, nor his past with her daughter however brief it may have been, except for what Radraven had told her.

"As far as I know, she is unaware of your presence, but as your Sire she still has that connection, that Bond and may have very well felt you the moment you set foot in Sanguine."

He Nodded. "I never blamed her. I myself didn't understand what could occur. All that matters was that I lived..." His eyes seemed to gleam like Macedonian silver, thinking of what happened those years ago. If not for being so different and unique, his blood would be that of the Acontinum, and he wouldn't have had such a... violent experience.

Vann Felt a chill of some kind in his spine as her eyes linked with his in such a manner. It was no power that washed through him, no. Any mother, human or otherwise could give that look. She was right... though feelings waiver and dissipate over time, as did his, they were still there. It was the reason he was there.

"That may be just as well. I came here to look for her."

Draven's lips curved into a smile. "I thought as much." It was then that she picked up her seemingly forgotten glass of whiskey and took a sip from its amber liquid. After centuries of existance, she could no longer taste mortal food nor drink, but kept the appearance up for the sake of the Sanguine Veil. She could not feel its burn, nor taste its exotic flavor. Blood was the only thing she could feel and taste, but she was going further and further between feedings without having the need for sustanance. Her energy seemed to be growing perpetually stronger with each passing tick of the clock.

"If I am not mistaken, her time has been occupied with her renovation of Black Dahlia. She offered Shang-Da a hefty price for it, and spends most of her time there."

"The club huh...." He said to himself as she revealed the bit of information. Vann was reminded of his own glass of whiskey, and cast a glance down at it in his left hand, stirring it about a little as he gave the crystal a bit of a swirl. "I'll have to check it out then"

He raised the glass of aged liquor and downed it's contents, smirking afterward with a bit of his canines poking out as he flashed the slight grin. "Top Drawer stuff, I must say.." He commented setting the glass down, and then looking up to Draven sitting up in his seat. "Thank you for telling me .. as you might expect, I'll be off to the Black Dahlia.."
