Dr. Isaacs walked into the room wearing his white labcoat while holding a clipboard against his upper stomach. He was scrawling some writing down with a pen when the door closed behind him. "Ah Daciana, milady, you have awakened. It was about time, the Ritual was just weeks away."

Seiti had gone from the city for quite some time when introducing his daughter into their world. He had taken her to France, where their heritage was discovered by the mortals, to Budapest where they first made their claim in the world and to Egypt, where they hid away and slept for centuries. She had been hesitant at first but when he introduced her into the world that she had always known but never known in depth.

He showed her a world of beauty...and terror. Days later, Seiti changed his daughter from the life she had known to the world she would become accustomed to. Everything was going as planned as he was present her as his rightful heir and secure his throne. He had once promised Daciana that she would never know this world but he had broken that vow.

Daciana's cyan eyes narrowed considerably at the doctor. She wasn't sure how she knew, but he was keeping something from her. Changing the direction of her gaze from the doctor and down the the IV tubes running out from the inside of her right elbow she watched a silverish tinge in her veins throb with every beat of her heart. With a low growl rumbling past her lips, she reached up and yanked the tubes from her arm. Monitors beeped erraticly. Before the doctor could respond, she had the window to her room open, and she was leaping from the forth floor and down to ground level. Landing gracefully on her feet, she sprinted away from the hospital at a pace that would certainly given Seiti a run for his money.

When Seiti was driving down the highway in his Lambourghini from Ileana's apartment in the upper class section, his personal cell started vibrating within his coat pocket. Pulling it out from his pocket, he answered the phone with a tired, more or less, annoyed voice.

"Seiti? My king, Daciana has escaped. She just took off." Dr. Isaac's voice sounded.

"Alright. Thanks." Seiti sighed. He hung up the phone and slipped it back into his pocket. He was already back into town but he turned off at the light and parked his vehicle at the rendeveouz point where all the leaders of the bloodlines would be meeting him for a gathering.

She didn't know what she was doing, nor where she was going. She just wanted to run, run away from everything. In mid run, her body changed, contorting and twisting to accomidate the new form. A black wolf leapt over the park bench and into the Velvet Forest to seek sanctuary among the trees and wildlife. This was where she belonged. Not the City. As the mind of Beast and woman merged, the paws followed suit and carried the wolf where ever she wanted to go, needed to go.

With grace the creature wove between trees, using the bark as a spring board to prolect herself onto a rather high ledge that no other animal would have dared leaping to. The wolf climbed higher, using the "free running" method that she was familiar with in her more Humane form. The out-cropping of rock jutted virtually straight towards the sky and Mother Moon who looked down upon her Children with her silvery gaze.

Lifting her head towards the moon, the black wolf let out a beautiful howl in dedication to Mother Moon.

The howls of every major bloodline had been sounded and reverberated through the night. At the ceremonial gathering, Seiti stood on top of the largest rock where Daciana would be as well. But since the accident, he had been working solo for most of the things for the city. He raised his hands into the air and the crowd quieted down to hear their Lunus speak. The Father of the Bloodlines. He looked out and then dropped one arm to his side to show his allegiance to them.

"My brothers, sisters, family, and friends...On this eve, a new childe has been born. This, your rightful heir, is now one of us. I hid her among humans to make her childhood safe, but now she returns to us, ready to take her place at my left hand."

More howls sounded in agreeance as Illeana stepped forward, taking her father's hand. Her eyes glowed with the moon. One cyan and one green, a symbol of both parents bloodlines while his remained more prominant in her. His only child. "My daughter, Illeana."

The wolf was being Hunted, it could sense it like an itch that just wouldn't go away no matter how many times you scratched. The wolf was beginning to panic. There was only place where it knew that it could go where it would be safe. The Gathering....

She was closing in on the Pack. She could see them just upahead. Only a few more yards to go and she would be home....

There was a loud crack, and the wolf tipped forward with a harsh yelp of pain as the bullet bit into one of its hind legs...

The wolf shifted back to its more Human form. Daciana lay naked and bleeding as she watched a dark figure approach. She turned her cyan colored eyes to the face of Death...
"Khai...
"I told you once, Daciana, to never cross me."
"You're Seiti's brother for Christ's sake..."
"You became pregnant with his child." Khai removed something from his long coat, but she couldn't see exactly what it was. He said nothing else, but illustrated his point when a sharp pain shot through Daciana's chest.

Khai waded through the pack members and stopped just beneath the out-cropping of rock where his brother stood. He held something in his hand. With a flick of his wrist, he tossed it at Seiti's feet.
"You wanted the killer, well here I am. Judgement from the pack will undoubtedly be my death, but just so you know, brother, I took the life of your wife with me along for the ride to hell."
