Realized I can never win
Sometimes feel like i feel
Inside where do I begin
My mind is laughing at me

Endless darkness. That was all she knew. A bottomless pit of an abyss that kept pulling her down, spiraling her out of control. Even with her keen eyesight, Daciana wasn't able to see two feet in front of her. That inky blackness became her eternity...

Tell me, why am I to blame?
Aren' t we supposed to be the same?
That's why I will never change
This thing that's burning in me

There was a rush of warm air, and suddenly a blinding light forced her to shut her eyes and turn her head away from the sudden harshness of it. Khai. She owed the son of a bitch now more than ever. In a way, Daciana always figured she could haunt his ass for the remainder of his life, maybe drive the prick to suicide. Carefully, she opened her eyes. She wasn't in the pits of hell. She was standing on an outcropping of rock, much like the one Seiti had been standing on with their daughter. She remember seeing their faces as she took her last breath of life and slipped into this seemingly pointless oblivion.

I am the one that chose my path
I am the one who couldn't last
I feel the light pull from me
I feel the anger changing me

"You will have your revenge, my child." The voice was soft, sweet and nothing like the figure that it came from. Beside her stood a woman who appeared to be in her early to late eighties. "Don't let my appearance fool you, Mate of Seiti. I have no real physicality. This is merely a projection that I have chosen for this point and time."

Daciana turned her head up and looked into the woman's eyes. She could see the night time forest within their depths. She didn't have to ask. The Beast inside her knew. "You are the Great Mother." She said in amazement. Daciana dropped down to a knee and tilted her head to the side, baring her neck in the formal greeting of all Lycanthropes.

"Arise, Daciana. There is no need for formalities here." The Great Mother reached out and helped Daciana stand. "You have much of your life left to live, and you have much to accomplish. For the sake of all my children, you must claim the life of the one who took yours. He is a great threat to Seiti's Empire."

"How can I do that trapped here?"

The Great Mother smiled.

Daciana was not the creature she had been upon her death. Now she was a Warrior of the Great Mother, a pawn in the scheme of things, and a ruthless Avenger. Her body was marked by the tribal insignia of the Great Mother. The designed curled around her arms, snaked down her hips and disappeared beneath the waist band of the jeans she was currently wearing. Her eyes were perminately a hellfire amber, burning with all the rage that the Great Mother held for those that defied her and her Laws.

It was the Gathering of the following full moon after her death. She stood at the edge of the woods, surround by shadow as she watched her former pack congrigate.

I am the one that chose my path
I am the one who couldn't last
I feel the light pull from me
I feel the anger changing me

Holding her head regally high, and her eyes glowing brightly, Daciana stepped out of the comfort of the shadows and walked through the clearing and towards her family. Heads turned and mouths dropped nearly to the ground beneath their feet. After a few moments hesitation, they dropped to their knees and bared their necks much like the way she had done for the Great Mother. Now, the Mother's Spirit was inside of her...
